Tenby & District Partnership
Objectives of Partnership
The proposal to form the Partnership was formulated towards the end of 2002, with the Town Council and the Chamber of Trade & Tourism agreeing to join in January 2003. Over the following three months, six major local businesses joined the Partnership – FBM Holidays, Serendipity Holdings, Activity Wales, Texaco, Bourne Leisure, and the Fourcroft Hotel. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority agreed to take a full part, and the County Council and PLANED agreed to send observers. A preliminary meeting of the Partnership took place at the beginning of May 2003.
The Partnership has agreed to act as a forum for the co-ordination and development of a programme of events in the town and the surrounding area, as an important part of the attraction to our visitors, and hence the economy of the area, and also for the enjoyment of our residents.
In pursuit of that aim, the Partnership will support the De Valence Trust as a Community Arts Centre, support and develop a number of events that have previously been run by the Chamber of Trade & Tourism by raising the quality of events, promotional activities, and increase community involvement, whilst providing support to other events being run by other organisations in the town and neighbourhood.
